At Combs Ford Primary School, we want every child to have the chance to discover what they enjoy, what they are good at and what inspires them. Through a wide range of enrichment opportunities, children are encouraged to explore new interests, develop talents and experience success in different ways. From outdoor learning to Rocksteady music lessons, sports festivals, art projects, choir and educational visits, we provide opportunities for every child to find something they are passionate about.

We believe that children grow when they are encouraged to try new things and challenge themselves. Our enrichment programme helps pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence through experiences such as residential trips, Bikeability, sporting competitions, performances, public speaking opportunities and leadership roles. Whether representing the school at a sports event, performing in a Nativity or production, or taking part in a school residential, children learn valuable life skills that help them to become confident learners and individuals.

We also want children to understand that they can make a positive difference. Through opportunities such as School Council, Eco Schools, Rights Rangers, Sports Leaders and wider community projects, pupils are encouraged to take responsibility and contribute to school life. As they move through school, children are given increasing opportunities to lead, support others and play an active role in making our school and community the best it can be. 

A key part of our enrichment offer is helping children engage with the wider world. Through church visits, author visits, community events, environmental projects, cultural experiences and educational trips, children develop an appreciation of different people, places and perspectives. Activities such as the Schools Farming Fair, Crucial Crew, World Book Day celebrations and environmental workshops help broaden horizons and encourage children to think beyond the classroom.

Our enrichment programme goes beyond the expected and reflects our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to discover their passions, build confidence, experience learning in creative ways, develop leadership skills and engage with the world around them.
