Welcome to Combs Ford Primary School

Year 3 Curriculum

Autumn      Spring      Summer

English, maths and science are all taught separately. Other subjects, such as history, geography, art, music design and technology and computing are often grouped together and taught as topics.  We have a range of exciting topics which are taught across the year:

  • Autumn 1 - Stones and Bones
  • Autumn 2 - Treetops
  • Spring 1 + 2 - I am Warrior
  • Summer 1 - The Iron Man
  • Summer 2 - Scrumdiddlyumptious

We try to organise trips and events linked to our topics, such as a trip to Colchester Castle to support our learning about the Romans, or invite visitors to come and join us.

Religious Education is taught as a discrete subject and covers all Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism.
