In our writing lessons, we have worked incredibly hard on writing a set of instructions about washing a woolly mammoth! We are currently working so hard on writing our own version of the ‘Stone Age Boy’. In our reading lessons we are enjoying reading a book called ‘How to Skin a Bear’.
In maths we have become much more confident with using the expanded method for addition and subtraction – our teachers are very proud of us! We have now moved on to learning about multiplication and division, we are focusing on learning our 3, 4 and 8 times tables.
In our topic lessons we have been learning about the Stone Age, we have learnt about animals, how the people lived and how they hunted for their food. We also learnt about the Bronze Age. In our art lessons we have created some amazing cave painting by learning to mix colours and build up layers on the paper. They look incredible and so many people have complimented us on our hard work. In our science lessons we have been identifying rocks, sorting them and learning about how fossils were formed.
Sadly, we haven’t been able to sing in our music lessons, but we have enjoyed learning to sign.
We are looking forward to our Christmas break as we all need a rest from hard work!
Happy Christmas to you all!
