You and Your Child's Information on Arbor
When your child joins Combs Ford, we collect important information about them, including their name, address and date of birth. We also ask for parent and carer contact details so that we can keep you informed about school events, updates and any emergency situations.
All of this information can be viewed on your child's Arbor account within their Profile section.
Once each term, we ask parents and carers to review the information we hold and check that it is accurate and up to date. It is your responsibility to update any changes directly through Arbor or inform the school office so that we can make the necessary amendments.
If there are any significant changes to your family's circumstances, such as parental separation, a family medical condition, or a complex situation at home, we encourage you to share this information with us confidentially. This helps us provide the most appropriate support for your child.

Data Protection and Privacy
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in the UK on 25 May 2018. It sets out how personal information must be collected, processed and stored securely, while strengthening individuals' rights over their own data.
These rights include:
- Understanding how personal data is used
- Accessing personal information held about them
- Correcting inaccurate information
- Requesting the deletion of data where appropriate
- Restricting or objecting to the use of their data
At Combs Ford Primary School, we provide Privacy Notices for pupils, parents and staff. These notices explain:
- Why we collect personal data
- How the data will be used
- How the data will not be used
We follow the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) Schools Toolkit when determining how long personal data should be retained. Please refer to the IRMS website for further information.
