Governors
Governors support the Headteacher, staff, children and parents. They ensure that our school provides a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment that challenges the children.
They endorse the strong team work and whole school approach to learning which enables all children to achieve their best within the curriculum and gain confidence in their personal and social independence.
Governors have the overall responsibility for legal and financial matters, policies, appointments and monitoring achievement.
The Chair of Governors is available to be contacted via the school office for any matters which cause a concern to parents, if the school staff are not first able to deal with the issue.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a school governor, what this may involve and the rules associated with applying, do please contact the school office for more information.
Our Governing Body is comprised of the following:
- The Headteacher (1)
- Staff (2)
- Parents (2)
- Community (4)
Note: A member of staff may be co-opted under 'community'
Currently we have a Governing Body size of 9
Between them the aim is to bring a range of both skills and experience to the governing body, which will ensure that balanced and carefully considered decisions are made.
